Male is densely populated island in Maldives also a Capital of Maldives. Half day walking tour is enough to know about local culture and Island history. We start from Male fish market, passing through the Maldives oldest school and learn about the education system and why the Maldives has a 98% literacy rate. Then proceed to Hukuru Miskiiy - Old Friday Mosque and the tomb of Abu -al - Barakaath. After traditional tea stop at Victory Monument then proceed for Sultan Park, pass by the Grand Friday Mosque and the Islamic Centre, Male's famous architectural landmark and onto Jumhooree Maiden - Independence Square.
